Scotland. Charles I. 1625-1649. AR thirty shillings (33 mm, 14.83 g, 12 h). Third coinage, type V (Falconer’s Anonymous issue). Edinburgh mint, 1637-1642. Initial mark: thistle. Charles on horseback left, holding reins and raised sword / Crowned coat-of-arms. Burns 50 (fig. 1023); SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian), 1519 var. (&c for ET in legend); SCBC 5557. Toned, flan crack, some striking weakness. Fine.
