UMAYYAD. Hisham (b. ‘Abd al-Malik), (105-125 AH / 724-743 AD). Silver Dirhem (2.79 gm; 25 mm). Obverse; standard Umayyad Shahadah at the center with marginal stating mint and year, mint; Dimashq (Damascus), year 118 AH, reverse; from 112th Surah of the Quran with marginal legend (Quran IX,33), Album 137; Tabatabai 71a. Scarce year. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Choice UNC. Lightly toned.
