ALEXANDRINE EMPIRE. Satraps of Babylonia under Alexander. Ca. 328-311 BC. Gold Double Daric (16.74 gm; 19 mm). Persian king, wearing kidaris and kandys, in the kneeling/running stance to right, with a quiver over his shoulders, and holding a short spear in his right hand and a bow in his left. Rev. Wavy-patterned oblong punch. Nicolet-Pierre 6; Sunrise 158var. Well struck on a nice flan. Choice EF.
