SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram (Varhran) V, 420-438 AD. Æ (1.33 gm; 13 mm). Obverse, Bahram's bust turning right, monogram in the shape of flower Iris in front of face. Flower Iris is associated with “Khordad Saal” and birth of prophet Zoroaster, abstraction of flower Iris is seen on numerous Achaemenid stone carving specially in Persepolis. Choice VF. Original find patina. Extremely rare issue with extremely rare monogram.
