Description

A fine Lambayeque (Sican) Naymlap vessel from Peru, c. 700 – 1300 AD. This unusual orangeware example depicts the primary deity Naymlap flanked by two figures typically identified as his children, with a beautifully formed bird adorno mounted atop the flat strap handle. Serpent heads are emanating from the sides of the spout. In exceptional condition, with good mineral deposits and trails. Ex Pachenko collection. Value range: $650 - $800
