Description
A fine Chimu calero (lime container) from Peru, c. 1100 – 1450 AD. It is 5-1/2” long and is made from a gourd, decorated with pyro-incised diamond designs and punctured elements. The upper portion of the neck and the dipper are carved wood. In excellent condition. Ex Hutchings collection. Value Range: $175 - $250
