Description
An unusual stone figure from Vera Cruz, Mexico, c. 300 – 800 AD. It is 6” high, carved from limestone and depicts an individual wearing a striped mantle. He is posed with arms to the sides and his bald head is very smooth from extensive handling. The hollow eye sockets are indicative of a death representation. Museum deaccession. Value range: $250 - $400
