An excellent Chimu whistle bottle from Peru, c. 1100 – 1450 AD. This ornately decorated example is 8-1/2” long6” high and features a nicely detailed bird nesting atop the spout of the front chamber. Both chambers are decorated with geometric and wave designs. Intact, strong mineral deposits and great tone on the whistle. .Ex Sarmiento collection. Value range: $450 - $600
