KINGS of PARTHIA. Mithradates III. Circa 87-79 BC. AR Drachm (3.90 gm; 20 mm). Diademed and draped bust left, wearing tiara with ear flap, long beard, and torque ending in pellet; eight-rayed star on tiara; all within pelleted border, Swastika countermark at 3 o'clock. / Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow. Sellwood 31.6 (Orodes I); Shore 123-124; Sunrise 301var. Swastika countermark at 3 o'clock. Nice original find patina. Choice EF. Apparantly unpublished. Extremely rare.
