Description
SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird II (438-457 AD). PB (Lead) Unit (2.82 gm; 20 mm). Bust of Yazdgird with standard crown turning right inscribed in a square, large dots on each corner of square, reverse; fire altar with attendants inscribed in circle. Typically squares represent perfection as well as four natural elements of air, fire, water and earth, circle represents continuity and rebirth. Choice VF. Nice original find patina. Extremely rare.
