TABERISTAN. Khurshid (Khorshid); (123-143 AH & 740-760 AD & PYE 89-109). Silver Hemidrachm (2.02 gm; 24 mm). Sasanian bust to the right, name in Pahlavi in front of face, two dots between the wings of crown and a single dot at 6 o'clock, phrase APD in Pahlavi in the second quarter, Reverse: fire altar with attendants, mint “TPURSTAN (Tabaristan)” on the right, date: 104. The period coincides with reign of 10th Umayyad Khalif; Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik, and Abbasid’s Saffah and Mansur. Choice EF / AU.
