KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III. 336-323 BC. AR Obol (0.58 gm; 9 mm). Babylon II (?), struck under Seleukos I, circa 311-281 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress / Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, H above anchor; below throne, monogram. SC 100.2 var.; Cf. Price 3948. Lovely style. Well struck on a nice flan. Choice EF. Toned. Rare.
