ACHAEMENID EMPIRE. Time of Artaxerxes II - Artaxerxes III. Circa 375-340 BC. AR Siglos (5.78 gm; 15 mm). Sardes mint, Persian king or hero in kneeling-running stance right, holding dagger and bow, quiver over shoulder; 2 very interesting banker's marks / Patterned incuse punch, 2 very rare and interesting counter marks on reverse (Nude youth rider on horse left; and head of male right). Carradice Type IV; group C, pl. 15,49; BMC 176; Sunrise 33. Choice VF. Lightly toned. Some find earthen patina.
