ROMAN EMPIRE. Domitian. 81-96 AD. Fourrée Denarius (3.32 gm; 19 mm). Rome, AD 93-94. IMP CAES DOMITIANVS AVG GERMANIC, laureate head right wearing aegis / P M TR POT III IMP V COS X P P, Minerva advancing right with spear and shield. Cf. RIC 176 (without aegis) for prototype. A very finely detailed and well preserved ancient forgery. Acquired from Naville Numismatics Ltd. Lovely strike on a nice broad medallic flan. Perfectly centered. Choice EF. Toned.
