ANCIENT INDIA, Kushan Empire. Gandahara. Circa 2nd-3rd. Century AD. Stone figure Statue. Offered is a stunning ancient Indian stone figure from the Kushan period (2nd-3rd century AD) in magnificent and expertly hand carved style depicting a royal Indian man in very fine detail on face, hair, body, jewelry, attire, and circular background. This magnificent Indian stone figure is a fragment of a larger piece belonging to the early Kushan period in ancient region of Gandhara, Pakistan. Its condition is almost excellent, with some wear consistent with age; right arm and left hand are lost in antiquity. The followings are the dimensions of this ancient glorious India Kushan period figure: Height: 13 inches or 33.02 cm; Width: 7 inches or 17.78 cm; Depth: Approx. 3 inches or 7.62 cm.
