SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. AD 399-420. AR drachm (4.20 gm; 29 mm). GW mint, located in Kirman province. Bust of Yazdgard I on floral ornament right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, crescent to left of flames and inscription “ gw ” to right, “ l’sty : true ” on altar shaft, and illegible inscription to left. Choice FDC. Fully lustrous. Scarce.
