ROMAN EMPIRE. Nero. as Caesar, AD. 50-54. Æ Sestertius (26.58 gm; 32 mm). Uncertain Balkan mint, AD 51. NERONI CLAVDIO DRVSO GERMANICO COS DESIG, bare-headed and draped bust of Nero right. Reverse: EQVESTER/OR-DO/PRINCIPI/IVVENT in four lines on shield; behind shield, spear. RIC 108; Von Kaenel, SNR 63 (1984), N4, pl. 25, 38; RPC pp. 311 and 319; BMC p. 195, note. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Nice brown-reddish, green patina. Choice aEF. Rare.
