WORLD MEDALS. J. Dassier, 1743. “The Roman Republic” Series. Silver Medal (10.22 gm; 32 mm). Medal # 3 out of 60. Obverse: bust of Numa Pompilius right, NUMA POMPILIUS around. Reverse: scene on the Roman forum where king Numa Pompilius presents his laws to the Romans. NUMA DONNE DES LOIX AUX ROMAINES in exergue, dated AR 39 (= 715 B.C.). Choice UNC. Lightly toned.
