Stone Figural Cosmetic Plate. Gandhara (Central Asia), I Century BC - I Century AD. Grey-green schist cosmetic plate (palette) with two horseman on rearing horses in upper compartment, beneath a serrated compartment for cosmetic preparation. cf. Taddei,ArchMundi.100. 122mm dia (about 6”). Intact and outstanding. Early Gandharan art with Parthian influences. A museum piece.
