From the KJG Collection of British Celtic Coins. Ex Rudd 77 (July 2004), 22.

Tincomarus (until recently ,misidentified as Tincommios) ruled the Regni for about 30-35 years from his capital at Chichester. His coinage draws heavily upon the political imagery of Augustus, which has been seen as evidence (Creighton 2000) that he was perhaps held as a hostage at the court of the Roman emperor, where much like his contemporaries the sons of Herod the Great, he would have been schooled in Roman ways which in turn influenced his coin designs.
