Britain, Southern Region. Regni & Atrebates. Verica. Ca. A.D. 10-40. AR minim (8 mm, 0.22 g, 6 h). Verica Neck Torc type. C · F within neck torc / (VE)RIC, laureate head right. ABC 1310; Van Arsdell 551; BMC 1526-33; SCBC 150. Very rare. Wonderfully toned. Choice extremely fine.

The identity of the portrait on the reverse is not known by looks strikingly similar to the final portrait issues of Tiberius on Lugdunum mint denarii with Pax seated on the reverse (""Tribute Penny""), cf. J.-B. Giard, Le monnayage de l 'atelier de Lyon de Claude Ier à Vespasien (41-78 après J.-C.) et au temps de Clodius Albinus (196-197 après J.-C), 154.
