Description
A fine Lambayeque figural jar from Peru, c. 700 - 1300 AD. This nicely detailed example is 7-3/4" high and depicts a figure with an elaborate headdress. The arms and coif flowing over his back are molded in high relief. Highly burnished, with strong mineral deposits and trails overall. Ex Sarmiento collection. Value range: $400 - $500
