A fine Inca zoomorphic vessel from Peru, c. 1300 – 1500 AD. This unusual example is 5-1/4” high and features a caiman draped over the top of the chamber. The crocodilian is nicely detailed, with all of its features molded in high relief. The burnished slip shows good mineral deposits and ancient rim wear evidences usage. Ex Espinoza estate. Value range: $400 - $500
