Sicily, Syracuse. Deinomenid Tyranny. 485-466 B.C. AR tetradrachm (22 mm, 17.23 g, 9 h). Under Hieron I, ca. 480/78-475 B.C. Charioteer, holding kentron and reins, driving slow quadriga right; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses / ΣVR-A-KOΣI-OИ (R inverted), diademed head of Arethusa right, surrounded by four dolphins.
