Sicily, Syracuse. Philistis, wife of Hieron II. 275-215 B.C. AR 5 litrai (18 mm, 3.83 g, 10 h). Ca. 218/7-214 B.C. Diademed and veiled bust of Philistis left / ΒΑΣΙΛΙΣΣΑ[Σ] ΦΙΛΙΣΤΙΔΟΣ, Nike driving slow quadriga right; in right field, Φ. CCO 233 (D1/R1); BAR issue 65; HGC 2, 1559. A few light marks under tone, edge bump on reverse. Very fine.
