Macedonian Kingdom. Philip II. 359-336 B.C. AR tetradrachm (25 mm, 14.42 g, 2 h). Amphipolis, under Kassander, ca. 307-297 B.C. Laureate head of Zeus right / ΦΙΛΙΠ-ΠΟΥ, youth on horseback right, holding palm; below horse's belly, Λ above torch; below horse's raised foreleg, HΓ monogram. Le Rider pl. 47, 17; SNG ANS -. Exceptional detail and lightly toned. Extremely fine.
