LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 290-280 BC. AR Nomos (21mm - 7.72 g). Wreathed head of Demeter right, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace;D behind / META left, ear of barley with seven grains, leaf to right; two amphoras and a star above leaf, FI below. Johnston Class D, 4.16 (same dies); SNG ANS 517 (same dies); HN Italy 1625. Good VF, some striking weakness, lustrous, just a hint of light porosity.
