Description

KINGS of PARTHIA. Phraates IV. 38-2 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm - 15.12 g). Dated Aptemisios 279 (April 33 BC). Diademed and draped bust left, wart on forehead, neck torque ends in sea horse / Phraates seated right on throne, receiving palm from Tyche standing left and holding cornucopia, small crescent above cornucopia; QOC (year) between throne legs, APT(month) in exergue. Sellwood 51.7 var. (no crescent on reverse); Shore 269 var. (Year 278). Near EF, black toning around devices, nice flan, well struck with clear dates.

Apparently unrecorded with the crescent on the reverse, but it's such a small detail it may have just been overlooked in the past.
