ANTONINUS PIUS. 138-161 AD. Æ Sestertius (31mm - 25.95 g). Rome mint. Struck 149 AD. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XII, laureate head right / COS IIII, S-C across fields, Aequitas standing left, holding scales in right hand, cornucopia in left. RIC III 855; BMCRE 1824; Cohen 232. Good VF, brown patina with some roughness. Unfortunately some acid or other corrosive agent dripped on the coin at some point, leaving a few corroded spots showing bare metal.
