ROMAN IMPERATORIAL. Octavian (Augustus). Circa 37 BC. AR Denarius (3.88 gm; 20 mm). NGC-Choice VF. (Strike 5/5; Surface 4/5). Certificate # 4373484-002. Italian mint. Bare head right, wearing slight beard / Augural and pontifical emblems: simpulum, aspergillum, jug, and lituus. Crawford 538/1; CRI 312; Sydenham 1334; RSC 91 (Augustus). Lovely strike on a nice broad flan.
