ROMAN EMPIRE. Nero. 54-68 AD. Gold Aureus (7.10 gm; 19 mm). Lugdunum. NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, Laureate head right / Salus enthroned left holding patera; SALVS in exergue. RIC 59; Cal.443a. Struck on a nice broad flan. Couple of minor hairline scratches. Couple of punch marks on reverse field. Minor ding on the edge, otherwise well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice aVF. Some find earthen patina.
