Description
SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram (Varhran) V. 420-438 AD. PB (Lead) Unit (3.22 gm; 16 mm). Obverse, Bahram's bust turning right, heart shape monogram (possible abbreviation in caligraphic style also seen in Sasanian seals) in front of face, reverse, fire altar with attendants and possible deteriorated figure in the fire altar. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice VF / Fine. Original find patina. Extremely rare.
