SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram (Varhran) V, 420-438 AD. Æ (2.01 gm; 17 mm). Obverse, Bahram's bust turning right, letters ST (Istaxr) or AT (Aturpadgan-Azarbaijan) capped with crescent in front of face. Reverse, fire altar with attendants-no figure in the fire, thus first series. Lovely strike on a nice broad medallic flan. Choice VF. Original find patina.
