Description
Arab-Sasanian: Bishapur and Istakhr series. Æ (0.44 gm; 15 mm). Obverse; Sasanian bust with winged crown turning right, phrase in Arabic "Baraka" (Reward for good deed or benediction) in front of face, Typical Sasanian phrases of GDH and Apzuti (off the strike) behind the head, reverse; fire altar with attendants, phrase in Arabic on the left " Bismillah" (In the name of Allah), to the right, Arabic phrase "Rabbi allah" (Allah is my lord), Gyselen Type 66. Nice brown patina. Choice VF / Good VF. Extremely rare.
