Description

IMP CONSTANT-INVS AVG, helmeted and cuirassed bust left, holding spear over right shoulder / VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP, two Victories holding shield inscribed VOT/PR in two lines over decorated altar; BSIS•. RIC VII - (cf. 61 but bust H11L). Good VF, dark greenish-brown patina, minor roughness. Unrecorded variety.

From the Victor Clark Collection.

Not published with this bust type in RIC. These left facing busts normally have a row of pellets around the rim of the helmet. This coin shows a laurel wreath around the rim which I believe is also unrecorded.
