CONSTANTINE I. 307-337 AD. Æ Follis (20mm - 3.09 g). Constantinople mint. Struck 329 AD. CONSTANTI-NVS MAX AVG, laurel and rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right / CONSTANTINI-ANA DAFNE, Victory seated left on cippus, head right, holding palm branch in left hand, laurel branch in right, trophy and captive before; D//CONS•. RIC VII 38 note; LRBC 999. VF, glossy black patina.
The issues with the pellet at the end of the mint mark are much rarer than those with the star. RIC speculates that the pellets are just poorly engraved dies that should have stars, but enough exist form many different dies to suggest that these are indeed separate issues
