PHOENICIA, Tyre. Circa 5th-4th. Century AD. AR Shekel (13.66 gm; 22 mm). Deity, holding reins in right hand, arched bow in left, riding hippocamp right above two lines of waves; below, dolphin right / Owl standing right, head facing; crook and flail in background; –O above |||| (date) in right field. Betlyon 17; HGC 10, 315; Sunrise 136. Well struck on a nice full flan. Couple of hairline scratches on the reverse. Lovely strike. Nicely Toned. Extremely Fine. From Dr. Patrick Tan Collection.
