CILICIA. Tarsus. Ca. late 5th century BC. AR stater (10.48 gm; 19 mm). NGC AU (Strike 4/5; Surface 4/5). Struck Ca. 420-410 BC. Satrap on horseback riding left, reins in left hand, flower (?) upward in right, eagle perched left on branch behind, ankh upward below / Archer in kneeling-running stance right, quiver over shoulder, drawing bow; two branches downward above ankh left in left field, Aramaic legend to right, all in dotted square within incuse square. SNG France 2, 213 var. (symbols). SNG Levante -. BMC -. Well-centered on a nice full flan. Perfectly centered. Choice AU. Extremely Rare. Lustrous surfaces. Finest one we have seen.
