IONIA, Magnesia. Circa mid 2nd Century BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.83 gm; 30 mm). NGC-Choice AU. Draped bust of Artemis right, wearing diadem, behind, bow and quiver / MAGNHTWN - ERASIPPOS / ARISTEOU Apollo nude, standing left, leaning on large tripod; holding filleted laurel branch in his lowered right hand; in exergue, meander; all within laurel wreath. SNG von Aulock 2042. ANS MN 24 (1979), 108, 33a. NGC-Choice AU (Strike 4/5; Surface 4/5). Wonderful strike. Choice Superb. Almost as Struck. Lightly toned.
