Description
A fine Lambayeque (Sican) double-chambered whistle bottle, c. 700 - 1350 AD. It is 6-3/4" high, 6-3/4" wide and features a nicely detailed bird perched atop the shorter spout. The chambers are supported on characteristic flared pedestal bases and the whistle emits a clear tone. In excellent condition. Ex Sarmiento collection. Value range: $400 - $500
