Lot 250: ANTIQUITIES, Moche bottle

A choice Moche I bottle from Peru, c. 50 BC – 100 AD. This superb early example is 6-3/4” high, 6” in diameter and is elaborately decorated. Its lentoid chamber is covered with interconnected triangular designs and a central serrated pattern, all executed in red over the highly burnished cream slip. Intact, with good mineral deposits.
