Description
A Campanian Greek black-glazed askos, South Italy, 4th Century BC, the body piriform with raised foot, short, narrow neck and flared mouth with downward sloping mouth; a single ring handle attached to the shoulder. H: 4 3/8” (11.1 cm). Intact, nice black glaze with light earthen deposits. Ex Orange County private collection; Ex Museum of Man, San Diego, Cal. by extended loan. Value Range $350 - $450.
