A large and elegant Roman piriform Unguentarium, 1st - 2nd Century AD, orange buff, with long tubular neck and flattened rim. The elegant vessel sits on a slightly concave disk base. The top of the vessel is dipped in red-brown slip, a long drip runs down the side. H: 7 ½” (19 cm). Intact, earthen deposits. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value Range $350 - $450.
