A pair Roman unguentariums, c. 2nd – 3rd Century AD, both with wide, domed body with highly concave base. One intact with nice iridescence and the other with some losses to rim and a few pieces of the original contents inside. This second example also has museum numbers in red on the base. H: 6” (15.2 cm) & 6 1/8” (15.5 cm). Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value Range $350 - $450.
