Lot 273: ANTIQUITIES. A lot of 5 Bactrian bronze compartmentalized seals

A lot of 5 Bactrian bronze compartmentalized seals, Late 3rd – Early 2nd Millennium BC, each with looped handles. The first with a large floral device with radiating petals, Dia: 5.1 cm; the second with a tall handle and a cruciform device with circles in the four quadrants, H: 26mm, Dia: 29mm; the third with a wide flat handle and flat-backed with central horned goat, Dia: 32mm; and the last two with concentric circle and small birds on the backside, W: 27mm & 28mm. Each intact, some with earthen deposits and one with beautiful malachite crystals. The largest piece shows much wear to the handle from extensive use in antiquity. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
