SASANIAN KINGS. Kavad II. AD 628. AR drachm (4.20 gm; 31 mm). NB (or NY) mint. Dated year 2 (AD 628). Bust of Kavad II right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos set on crescent, ribbon on left shoulder, crescent and ribbon on right, stars flanking crown, star-in-crescents in margin. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, star and crescent flanking flames, star-in-crescents in margin. Malek pl. 24, no.7. Choice Superb EF. Lightly toned. Very rare mint.
