ROMAN EMPIRE. Commodus. 180-192 AD. Æ Sestertius (25.22 gm; 31 mm). Struck 182 AD. Bareheaded and draped bust right / Commodus on horseback right, thrusting a javelin at a lion below. RIC III 332b; BMCRE 480 note; Cohen 973. Nicely struck on a full flan. Some light smoothing on the field. Dark green patina. Choice Good VF.
