Description
Macedonian Kingdom. Philip V. 221-179 B.C. Æ 1/2 unit (17 mm, 5.94 g, 6 h). Pella or Amphipolis, shortly after ca. 183/2 B.C. Laureate and beardless bust of Herakles right, lion's skin tied at neck, club at shoulder / ΒΑ above, ΦI below, prow of gally right; in right field, ΔI monogram. Mamroth 21b; SNG Alpha Bank 1107-9; HGC 3, 1065. Dark brown patina, minor roughness. Reasonably nice for the issue. Good very fine.
