Description
Cappadocian Kingdom. Ariarathes V Eusebes Philopator. Ca. 163-130 B.C. AR drachm (18 mm, 4.14 g, 12 h). Mint A (Eusebeia-Mazaca), RY 33 (131/30 B.C.) Diademed head of Ariarathes V right / BAΣIΛEΩΣ APIAPAΘO[Y] EYΣEBOYΣ, Athena Nikephoros standing left, holding Nike, spear and grounded shield; in inner left and uter right fields, monograms; in exergue, date (ΓΛ). CCK 32a (Ariarathes IV); Simonetta 27 (Ariarathes IV); DCA 454; HGC 7, 811. Good metal and lightly toned, small ding on cheek. Good very fine.
