Seleukid Kingdom. Demetrios II Nikator. Second reign, 129-125 B.C. Æ (18 mm, 5.33 g, 12 h). Quasi-municipal issue of Sidon, S.E. 186 (127/6 B.C.). Diademed and draped bust of Demetrios II right; behind, ME monogram (off flan) / ΣΙΔΩΝΟΣ ΘΕΑΣ, Astarte standing facing, head left, on prow of galley left, holding aphlaston and naval trophy; in right field, date (CΠP). SC 2189.6; HGC 9, 1137. Scarce. Brown patina with green deposits. Fine.
